Carling was raised on a purebred Angus seed stock operation just south of Ponoka. Along with her two siblings, she grew up exhibiting cattle in Canadian Junior livestock shows and in beef 4-H. Carling was a dedicated member of the West Ponoka 4-H Beef Club for 10 years and still enjoys trying to stay involved in 4-H and junior livestock events.
She took her undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta and then graduated from the University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine in April 2018. Carling is excited to move back to her hometown and looks forward to everything Central Veterinary Clinic has to offer.
She has a passion for cattle, a soft spot for small animals, and an interest in equine medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine Carling enjoys weight lifting, figure skating, golfing, helping her parents on the farm, socializing with her friends, and teaching her border collie (Bree) to not be afraid of cattle.
